CoPro News: Jamila’s Loop

In a fascinating article published on Ynet, the short film “Jamila’s Loop” — created by Idan Levy and Gili Tzlik, who are participating with the film in Copro’s southern “Shorts for a Change” lab — is brought into focus.
The film centers on the life of a Bedouin teenage girl with no legal status (lacking an ID card), who from a bureaucratic standpoint does not exist, and is therefore forced to live a silenced, rightless life.

Through black-and-white animation, the film exposes the reality of the “non-national” Bedouin community and the endless loop in which they live.
